borghal's STEAM REPLAY 2022

Check out my 2022 Steam Replay

I have been playing way too much Marvel Snap this past week. That game is hard to put down! But I have the feeling that I will get over it soon. Maybe.

After I heard the news about Stadia, I decided to give the Steam Deck a try. I ordered one on Monday, and I received it on Thursday. That was faster than I expected!

I haven’t had much chance to play a ton yet, but my first impressions are:

  • The deck is way bigger than I thought. I was expecting something like a Nintendo Switch. I’m sure it’s way bigger than that. It feels nice in the hands, though.
  • It gets super hot! Not where you hold it, but it does have some vents that can put out serious heat. I have to be mindful of not covering those when I’m playing.
  • I tried a few games. I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but I am engaged with The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos. It’s not quite the fantasy XCOM that I’m still looking for, but it satisfies that tactical RPG itch for now.
