My home office this morning

All packed and ready for the movers! I can't believe we got it all done in time.

After they take everything to storage, or next step is to clean the house. We're still not driving to Maine until later in the week, but we're getting closer and closer!

The final week

This is it. The last seven days before the big move. We've done tons of stuff, but still have so much more left to do. Wish us luck.

Daily rituals and routines

As the year comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on daily rituals and routines. I have many tasks that I perform daily in an almost automatic way. I'm looking to find meaning in them, turning them into rituals.

Do you practice any daily rituals? What are some of the actions that bring meaning to your life that you perform regularly?

Christmas traditions

Every Christmas Eve for several years now we watch Cleopatra. I don't know why, it's just what we do. And every year I take a picture of this scene, when we first see Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra, freshly rolled out of the carpet.
